Roche Diagnostics appoints Matthew Sause North America chief

Matthew Sause has been named North America president and CEO at Roche Diagnostics. Sause was previously head of global commercial strategy at Gilead. Prior to that he spent 17 years with Roche in various divisions including diagnostics and pharmaceuticals.

Thomas Lynch joins Kleo Pharmaceuticals as board chair

Former chief scientific officer at Bristol-Myers Squibb has joined Kleo Pharmaceuticals as chairman of the board. Lynch departed BMS in June. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, Physician in Chief at Smilow Cancer Hospital and was a professor of medicine at Harvard University and Yale University.

APCO hires former HHS chief of staff

Peter Urbanowicz, former chief of staff for the Department of Health and Human Services under Secretary Alex Azar, has joined APCO as senior counselor. He previously served as principal deputy general counsel at HHS and held leadership roles at Alvarez & Marsal and law firm Locke, Liddell & Sapp.

Acadia Pharmaceuticals names chief medical officer

Dr. Ponni Subbiah has joined Acadia as chief medical officer and global head of medical affairs. Subbiah was previously chief medical officer at Indivior. She also spent 15 years at Pfizer where she held various medical affairs leadership roles.

Minnetronix Medical promotes leader to CEO

Jeremy Maniak was promoted to CEO of Minnetronix Medical. The role will take effect in February 2020. He was previously president at the company. Maniak has been with the company since 2010.

Orthofix Medical appoints CEO

Jon Serbousek has been named president and CEO of Orthofix Medical. Previously, Serbousek was worldwide president for Biomet Biologics. Former CEO Brad Mason retired this month.
