Pharmaceutical company ViiV Healthcare, a joint venture by Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline, has appointed Porter Novelli to manage its corporate comms account, PRWeek understands.
ViiV Healthcare, a global specialist HIV company, was launched in 2009 and focuses on the research, development and commercialisation of HIV medications.
In 2011 ViiV brought in Ogilvy Health to provide PR support.
PRWeek has learned that the PR account has been handed to Porter Novelli following a six-way pitch. The agency will provide corporate comms, product and CSR support.
ViiV Healthcare declined to comment on agency appointments.
Porter Novelli could not be reached for comment at the time of going to press.
