GlaxoSmithKline has hired former FDA chief counsel and First Amendment specialist Dan Troy as its new general counsel.

GlaxoSmithKline has hired former FDA chief counsel and First Amendment specialist Dan Troy as its new general counsel. Some see Troy’s hiring as part of a strategy in the company’s defense against federal and congressional inquiries into its Paxil marketing practices and product liability lawsuits.
