In yet another example of private equity fueling healthcare marketing consolidation, Relevate Health has acquired Dallas-based healthcare professional recruitment network ConneXion360.

As part of the acquisition, Relevate will incorporate ConneXion360’s national broadcast capabilities and OnDemand platform for nonpersonal engagement. The deal will also allow Relevate clients to access elusive health systems and HCPs through ConneXion360’s Treatment Perspectives Recruitment Network.

“We want to be a leader in HCP engagement and we’re doing all these acquisitions to be able to help our clients reach HCPs in a more relevant way,” said Relevate CEO Jeff Spanbauer.

Since accepting funding from Denver-based PE firm Mountaingate Capital in late 2020, Relevate Health has made three transactions. In addition to ConneXion360, the company snapped up Axon Communications in February 2022 and data and analytics specialist Arteric in December 2020.

Marketing agencies pursue M&A activity for several reasons, but one factor is being able to unite a variety of services and skill sets in house under a single voice. By bringing together these disparate resources, healthcare marketers can be better aligned to offer client organizations a holistic approach to business, said ConneXion360 CEO George Griffith.

“We’re trying to move away from the ‘spray and pray’ approach so that everybody has something that is precise and relevant,” said Griffith.
