1. The FDA released more information about its controversial decision to approve Sarepta Therapeutics’ duchenne muscular dystrophy drug Exondys 51. However, some of the information about the drug’s side effects has been redacted. (Scientific American)

2. Sanofi’s dengue vaccine Dengvaxia may worsen the disease in people who have not yet been exposed to it. (Reuters)

3. Senior White House advisor Kellyanne Conway has been named the administration’s opioid czar. (The Hill)

4. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International CEO Joe Papa said the drugmaker’s return to growth will be spurred by eye-surgery device Stellaris Elite, glaucoma drug Vyzulta, and an experimental psoriasis drug. (WSJ)

5. WebMD and Reckitt Benckiser launched a cold-and-flu-season chatbot. The bot appears on WebMD’s Cold and Flu map. (Drugstorenews)
