Txt2hlp, a mobile platform for New York-Presbyterian Hospital, connects cancer patients eager for meaningful volunteer work with people who are considering ending their own life. Through outstanding use of technology, it provides a lifeline to those in crisis and a renewed sense of purpose to cancer patients. The pilot, starting with 12 volunteers, has been expanded to all affiliate hospitals.
