The Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP) named Robin King its new executive director, effective today. King will oversee operational and financial aspects of the group, replacing Paul Weber, who retired at the end of May. Previously, King served with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as director of external affairs at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services before starting his own consultancy.
Preventice, which provides mobile health apps and remote patient monitoring, hired Dan Schlewitz as EVP, global business development. Prior to joining Preventice, Schlewitz was EVP of sales for Biotronik, the cardiovascular medical device company, and held several sales and leadership positions at Medtronic, most recently serving as VP of US sales for the neuromodulation sector.
