Medical publisher Slack has promoted Evan Young to director of e-publishing for specialty medicine, a new position at the company. In this role, Young will collaborate with editorial, special services and sales to develop opportunities and solutions in e-publishing for current websites and other projects. Young will also be responsible for building registration and increasing traffic on all sites within Slack’s specialty medicine group.
BaroFold, a biopharma focused on protein therapeutics, has announced the appointment of William Freytag to president and CEO. Freytag previously worked as chairman and CEO at Aspreva Pharmaceuticals, until its merger with Galenica AG. Prior to Aspreva, Freytag was chairman and CEO at Myogen, before it was acquired by Gilead Sciences.
