Physicians Interactive (PI), a digital shop focused on professional sales and marketing, announced the appointment of Sanjay Pingle as president. He will lead the company’s pharmaceutical unit, reporting to Donato Tramuto, CEO and vice chairman of PI holdings. Pingle was a co-founder and EVP of Medsite, a pharma and biopharma marketing firm acquired by WebMD in 2006. Pingle served as VP at WebMD after the acquisition, before co-founding Terasol Energy, a renewable energy business focused on seed technology in Brazil. At PI, Pingle is responsible for digital sales and marketing business development, and the development of new digital marketing tools, products and services.
Generics giant Mylan announced the addition of Mark Parrish to the company’s board of directors. Parrish is chairman and CEO of Trident USA Health Services, a mobile X-ray and laboratory services provider, and is president of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers. Additionally, Parrish is a senior advisor to Frazier Healthcare Ventures, and a director at Biovail Corporation. He was previously CEO of healthcare supply chain services for Cardinal Health.
