Janssen Biotech wrapped up its IBD Icons campaign last month with American Idol‘s Casey Abrams crowning the winners of the user-generated content contest at a Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) benefit.

Abrams and a panel of CCFA judges picked the finalists, while an online poll with nearly 150,000 votes determined the winners.

Janssen’s Remicade is indicated to treat a number of autoimmune diseases including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, which cause IBD—though the campaign was unbranded.

Abrams suffered a flare-up from ulcerative colitis while competing on American Idol, still finishing sixth.
