David Best has dedicated his career to medical education, developing game-changing programs across the industry, from pharma and biotech to agency communications. In 1989, as medical services director for Bristol-Myers Squibb, he started the very first scientifically credentialed medical science liaison (MSL) group, a position that has become ubiquitous around the world. With the advancement of online video technology, he created The Doctor’s Channel, the largest short-video site for physicians. He currently heads up the MDea family of companies, including BESTMSLs.
Best has applied his penchant for innovation to the COVID era, implementing ideas such as Medical Affairs Island, an avatar-based immersive meeting platform addressing Zoom gloom for his pharma clients both in the U.S. and globally, and Peer Now, a digital platform connecting healthcare providers directly with MSLs, medical affairs and medical information.
