Dr. Jessica Shepherd is widely known as an empathetic and trustworthy leader in the health industry, both as a healthcare expert and in her role as chief medical officer for Verywell. She is a board-certified OB-GYN and media personality, sharing her health expertise with regular media appearances. Shepherd has proved integral to the company’s growth — since joining the team, Verywell has seen 108% growth year over year and has helped 15.2 million unique monthly U.S. users get the answers to their most pressing health questions.
Shepherd’s work is driven by a passion for women’s health, from minority health disparities to reproductive justice issues. To this end, she helped launch Verywell’s Health Divide, an editorial series designed to address health disparities experienced by people of color. She also speaks frequently at events ranging from WELL Summit to the 2020 Women’s March in New York City.
