The FDA has approved Barr subsidiary Duramed Pharmaceuticals’ Seasonique (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) extended-cycle oral contraceptive for the prevention of pregnancy. Seasonique will be available by prescription to women in July 2006, Barr said.
