MANUFACTURERS Roche has announced that Dan Zabrowski, currently global head pharma development operations in Nutley, NJ, will assume the position of global head, Roche Pharma Partnering effective July 1. In his new assignment, Zabrowski will oversee Roche's world-class network of strategic alliances with biotech companies and create new alliances in the future. He will report to William Burns, CEO, pharmaceuticals division, Roche. Zabrowski succeeds Peter Hug, who will become head of the Roche Pharmaceuticals Western Europe region. Currently, Zabrowski is responsible for both the US Development organization in Nutley and the management of all global clinical trials for the pharma division. Prior to this, he served as head, global regulatory affairs at Roche. He joined Roche in 1995 following the company's acquisition of Syntex, where he held a variety of positions in regulatory affairs. Before Syntex, Zabrowski led regulatory affairs in North America for Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Company. He began his career as a researcher at G.D. Searle Pharmaceuticals. AGENCIES Digitas Health announced the promotion of Michael du Toit to EVP, marketing and client service from EVP, management supervisor, and Len Dolce to SVP, general manager from SVP, finance. In du Toit’s new position, he oversees all client relationships for the company. In Dolce’s new role, he oversees all finance and facilities operations for the company. Both work out of the Philadelphia headquarters. McCann HumanCare, a full-service DTC/DTP healthcare agency that is part of McCann Erickson, announced the following recent new hires. Susanne Frenk, VP, creative director, joins from Saatchi & Saatchi. George Capuano and Brent Heindl join as VP, associate creative directors from Saatchi & Saatchi. Mai Abe joins as a VP, management representative. She was at Saatchi Consumer Health, and before that Arnold Worldwide. René Rios joins McCann HumanCare Salud, McCann Humancare’s Hispanic DTC practice, as VP, associate creative director, from agency Prime Access. Hali Tilzer joins as an account executive. She comes from Arnold Worldwide. Gregory Lewis joins McCann HumanCare as an IPG Interact Fellow, IPG’s multicultural program. He comes from Deutsch. Simone Jordan joins McCann HumanCare as an account executive. She is from SpikeDDB.
