AstraZeneca (AZ) announced a partnership with Astellas Pharma to co-promote AZ’s Symbicort Turbuhaler in Japan. Astellas will make an upfront payment of $31.5 million to AZ, plus additional milestone payments depending on sales.

inVentiv Health announced the addition of a Japanese office in Tokyo – inVentiv Japan – to be led by Dan Feldman. The office will provide outsourced sales solutions and communications in the pharmaceutical and healthcare space, according to a release.
