Boehringer Ingelheim sales and marketing supremo Dr. Alessandro Banchi is retiring at the end of the year and will be succeeded in that role by Bert Tjeenk Willink. Banchi was also chairman of the board of managing directors at the company. Assuming that responsibility will be vice chairman of the board of managing directors Dr. Andreas Barner, who is currently responsible for research, development and medicine. 
Wyeth named Andreas Krebs president, EMEA and Canada, reporting to Joe Mahady, president, pharmaceuticals and SVP, Wyeth. Krebs joined Wyeth in 2003 as general manager, Wyeth Germany from Bayer, where he had spent two decades. He replaces Ulf Wiinberg, who became CEO of Lundbeck in April. 
AGENCIES
AbelsonTaylor hired Dana Sickles as senior art director. Sickles joins from Rivet Global, where she was creative director, and will work on a psoriasis product. The agency also promoted Khadijah Marouazi from art production artist to associate art director; Lucy Chung from associate copywriter to copywriter; and Bill Tarlin from associate art production supervisor to art production supervisor. In addition, John Skibicki was hired as interactive developer. 
InVentiv’s Navicor Group has hired Marc Pondel as medical director. Pondel previously held the role of strategic scientist at Shaw Science Partners, and before that, he taught molecular medicine at University of London. 
Lanmark Group named Ryan Benz account executive. Benz, previously account coordinator, will be responsible for several of the shop’s major accounts, including 1-800-DENTIST and OraPharma.
