Roche sued Mylan to prevent the latter from marketing a generic version of its Xeloda breast cancer treatment. According to a Bloomberg report, Xeloda pulled in over $1 billion in sales last year. The drug is also indicated as a treatment for colon cancer following surgery.
Spectrum Science Communications, a Washington DC-based health and science communications firm, is refining its name and rebranding itself as Spectrum. The company opened an office in New York, and has invested resources in digital media, consumer marketing and health policy, and added a research partner.
