Additionally, Eran Nadav has been promoted to director, business development at Eisai. His previous position was associate director, scientific evaluation. Following his tenure there, he built his career with key creative positions at a number of healthcare advertising agencies, including Cline Davis & Mann (CDM), KPR, Robert A. Becker, LLNS and Medicus, all located in New York City. Immediately prior to joining Noesis, he served as senior vice president, group creative director at DDB Rx, a subsidiary of CDM. Mataraso’s pharmaceutical background also includes a senior sales role at Eli Lilly, where he helped launch Cymbalta, Strattera and Zyprexa IM.Dowden Health Media has appointed David Farley and Jon van Heerden to editor-in-chief and deputy editor respectively for its general surgery journal, Contemporary Surgery.  Farley, a professor of surgery at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and consultant at Mayo Clinic Department of Surgery, has been on the journal’s editorial board since 1999, and a Diagnostic and Surgical Dilemma section editor since 2000. Van Heerden is a professor of surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston was professor of Surgery at Mayo Medical School for more than three decades and also served as president of the American and International Associations of Endocrine Surgeons. He has been on the journal’s editorial board since the mid-1990s. Farley replaces John Daly who has been editor-in-chief since 1996. Daly, currently dean of Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA, will be named editor-in-chief Emeritus.Haymarket Medical has hired Darrin O’Neill to the position of sales VP.  Prior to joining Haymarket, O’Neill worked for the medical education company Medical DecisionPoint for three years as director, business development.
