As a founding member of the health vertical on Facebook’s global marketing team, Danielle Salowski has leveraged her experience to help the pharmaceutical companies market on mobile. Since joining Facebook in 2016, she has built a tailored team of industry experts, tech stars and data nerds who understand the needs of companies working with the highly regulated, risk-averse healthcare industry. Salowski has been instrumental in growing the business 78%. Under her leadership, the team now supports three times as many clients compared to when she started.

“Danielle has been an invaluable partner to our business, and to me specifically, as we drive transformation across Lilly on how we engage with consumers and bring value to their healthcare journey,” said Lina Shields, chief media officer at Eli Lilly.

Through close partnership with key clients such as Eli Lilly, Salowski identified one of the industry’s biggest challenges on mobile: meeting FDA requirements without compromising storytelling.

“Danielle recognized that creativity was the lever to transform pharma work across Facebook and Instagram,” said Jason Li, global director of Instagram’s Creative Shop.

To help clients overcome the challenge, she developed a number of new solutions, including a playbook for helping pharma convert TV campaigns into mobile-friendly videos that has been used by 30 brands and counting.
