For the past four years, Shivani Balan has led marketing efforts at Doximity, a professional network for clinicians. Her talents were recognized quickly by the company; originally hired as a client services manager, she was promoted to director of enterprise marketing within a year. 

Balan quickly left her mark in the new role; not only did she identify the need for a stronger sales support function, she was the driving force behind the creation of the company’s sales hub team, which works closely with marketing to strengthen Doximity’s brand voice and story.

In January 2019, Balan was promoted to senior director of enterprise marketing, which means she now heads the company’s entire marketing efforts. This includes organizing multiple events each year that serve Doximity’s clients. Last year, Balan put together the company’s biggest event yet, attended by more than 100 clients. Held in New York City, the event featured a panel of physicians who discussed the challenges in their careers as well as the evolution of healthcare marketing. Throughout her time at the company, Balan’s contributions have consistently exceeded expectations, earning her recognitions such as “Account Manager of the Quarter” and “Most Valuable Team Player.”

Prior to joining Doximity, Balan was an account manager and then senior account manager at Epocrates, a mobile medical reference app.
