Like it or not, Amazon is fast, efficient and often cheaper than its competitors. Following what the company has done for books and… well, just about everything else… the e-commerce behemoth has also moved into the health space. Neil Lindsay, the man leading the health charge, joined the company in 2010 and worked in the worldwide Prime and marketing departments before assuming his health-centric role. In it, Lindsay oversees Amazon Pharmacy’s use of generative AI to more accurately and quickly fill prescriptions, keep the right medicines in stock and make prescription prices more transparent. Under his watch, Amazon’s health offerings continue to expand: Amazon Health Services now includes the aforementioned Amazon Pharmacy, Prime One Medical (for in-office or on-demand virtual care) and Amazon Clinic (for virtual care for common ailments).
