Eversana has established a data and analytics business and appointed Brigham Hyde as president of the new offering.

Hyde joined the company in April and reports to Jim Lang, CEO of Eversana. He is responsible for building out the company’s data and analytics business.

He said he was drawn to the company because it can use technology like artificial intelligence to have real impact on patients.

“Most artificial intelligence and machine learning platform solutions are disjointed from the services and interfaces that create meaningful impact for patients. AI and ML for healthcare is moving from ‘shiny object’ to practical actions that can impact patients,” Hyde said in an email. “Our offering of a predictive platform driven by real-world data and AI/ML tools, combined with Eversana’s patient management capabilities, lets us both make predictions and directly act with patients to improve care. This represents a true ‘next best action’ framework and is a key step toward making AI actionable in healthcare.”

Eversana’s data and analytics offering will provide services like integrated patient-level data, commercial analytics services, AI and ML-based predictive capabilities and patient solutions analytics, Hyde said.

Previously, Hyde cofounded Concerto HealthAI, a real world data and artificial intelligence startup focused on oncology, where he served as president. He also held leadership roles at SymphonyAI and Decision Resources Group.

As he takes up this new role, Hyde said the priority is to integrate data and analytics throughout the patient journey. This data combined with predictive AI and Eversana’s commercial solutions, he said, will help the healthcare system move to value-based care.

“The priority is to integrate data and analytics across the patient journey to model value-based care, as well as implement behavioral interventions to increase patient adherence and reduce healthcare system costs,” he said. “By providing a prediction platform, built on integrated patient data, combined with our best-in-class patient engagement solutions, commercial services, market access and distribution, we have the ability to make predictions and take actions within the same organization.”
