JPA Health officially has its first acquisition under its belt. 

The agency announced Wednesday that it picked up consulting firm True North Solutions with the goal of expanding its strategic services. This includes integrated medical affairs and commercial strategy operations, as well as creative marketing and patient advocacy solutions. 

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based True North Solutions will bring a focus on digital acceleration and customized predictive analytics to JPA Health, the company said in a press release. 

True North has done work across various therapeutic areas since it launched in 2016, including oncology, infectious diseases, rare diseases and central nervous system (CNS). It’s also homed in on eight main areas – including brand strategy, patient experience, launch excellence and medical strategy. 

“The addition of True North Solutions with its profound expertise in creating custom solutions rooted in data sciences, will help keep our clients ahead of their competition in connecting with target audiences and driving results,” JPA Health CEO Carrie Jones said in a statement. “We extend a warm welcome to the entire True North team, individuals who share our passion for helping people live healthier lives.” 

JPA Health also noted that True North partners with Google Cloud and brings with it commercial grade AI as well as predictive and visualization capabilities. 

True North founder Colin Baughman said in a statement that the firm would bring JPA Health its deep expertise in AI-driven data analytics solutions with the scale and expertise of a full-service healthcare agency.

Baughman will join JPA Health as EVP and all of True North’s staff will integrate into the JPA Health team. 

The acquisition announcement comes shortly after JPA Health made a leadership hire, bringing on Tish Van Dyke as EVP. Van Dyke joined JPA Health following stints at Edelman and Twenty50 Strategies.

JPA saw its revenue grow nearly 40%, from $12.8 million in 2021 to $17.9 million in 2022, according to the MM+M Agency 100 2023 revenue chart.
