What would you do if you didn’t work in healthcare?

I am an entrepreneur and own indoor cycling studios with my husband.  

Can you give a shout-out to someone who helped you at a pivotal time in your career? 

I would like to give a major shout-out for my current boss, Christoph Koenen, a visionary leader, who provided me with opportunities to making meaning out of the powerful work that we do for patients in pharma.

Share a moment when you left your comfort zone; what did you learn?  

When I went to boarding school. I was one of five black girls at the school. I learned to create relationships to survive and leverage similarities to thrive.

Lead Women of Color in Pharma, a global professional society that I founded and at which I currently serve as the president.

Where would you like to see more progress in the #MeToo movement? 

I would like to see unity with other movements that are ongoing. Abuse and hate must be eradicated. 

What is one thing you would tell young women starting their careers in healthcare marketing?  

To understand their “why” and be sure that they connect their why to their work.

  • My mother: She died in 2007 and I have over a decade of discussions to have.
