Ron Pantello delivered a parting valentine to fellow MAHF cofounder and former MM&M publisher, the late David Gideon; the organization inducted its first all-female class; and the industry came out in force to celebrate its past, present, and future on Thursday night at the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame 2019 Awards Dinner.

The roughly 300 attendees who packed the Pierre Hotel in New York City for the annual gala heard inspirational acceptance speeches from Carol DiSanto and Charlene Prounis, who summed up the significance of the recently elected duo thusly: “I hear that glass shattering. We’re working women, working mothers, working our way to the top, and – more importantly – role models for other women.”

The iconic Blue Sky campaign for Claritin was among winners of the Heritage Awards, which honor classic ads.
