MM+M is once again nominated at the Jesse H. Neal Awards, also known as the ‘Pulitzers of B2B journalism.’

The publication is up for awards in two categories, the Neal Awards announced Thursday afternoon.

The 2023 MM+M Agency 100 issue is nominated for Best Single Issue of a Tabloid/Newspaper/Magazine for a brand with revenue between $3 million and $7 million.

Additionally, MM+M Editor-at-Large Marc Iskowitz is nominated for Best Range of Work by a Single Author for a brand with revenue between $3 million and $7 million.

As a 15-year MM+M veteran, Iskowitz is eyeing a three-peat, having won the award in 2021 and 2022.

Throughout last year, Iskowitz contributed in various ways to the publication’s far-reaching editorial strategy, penning in-depth features, analysis of breaking news as well as his must-read 7-Day Supply weekly column.

Iskowitz also hosts the weekly MM+M Podcast and serves as a moderator for many of the brand’s industry events.

Of note, MM+M isn’t the only Haymarket Media brand nominated for Neal Awards.

Among brands with revenue between $3 million and $7 million, MM+M’s sibling publication PRWeek is nominated for Best Art Direction for a Cover for its Nadya Okamoto Period Positivity cover.

Readers may recall that Sean Ayling, senior art director at Haymarket Media, won the award last year for MM+M’s cover of Marketing’s LGBTQIA+ Blind Spot

PRWeek is also nominated for Best Range of Work by a Media Brand with revenue between $3 million and $7 million. Last year, PRWeek won in the category of Best Podcast — marking its third consecutive year taking home a Neal Award.

Haymarket Media publication McKnight’s Long-Term Care News is also up for a couple of awards, including Best News Coverage for a brand with revenue between $3 million and $7 million, as well as Best Commentary for Executive Editor Jim Berklan.

SIIA Media, which hosts the Neal Awards, said there were 212 finalists in total representing “excellence in the business of information.”

The 70th Neal Awards Ceremony will be held on April 26 at the Pier Sixty venue at Chelsea Piers in New York.
