Ansa Biotechnologies named Jeremiah Hanes, Ph.D., as the company’s SVP of R&D Tuesday morning.

Hanes joins Ansa after more than a dozen years at PacBio, where he served as VP of Reagents R&D. Hanes is also the inventor of more than 30 U.S.-issued patents and authored 28 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

“Jeremiah is a proven leader in the biotechnology industry who was instrumental in the development of ‘long-read’ sequencing technologies that have had a profound impact on genomics, diagnostics, and our understanding of the natural world,” Ansa CEO Daniel Lin-Arlow said in a statement.
