Spectrum Science has appointed Amy Hutnik as president, effective this month.

In the newly created role, Hutnik is reporting to Jonathan Wilson, CEO and an executive member of the board.

Hutnik will lead Spectrum’s global platform of integrated services, including enterprise-wide operations and growth planning across the company’s four strategic pillars: scientific  communications, advertising and consulting, clinical trial experience and Spectrum Science Europe, according to an agency statement.

Presidents of each pillar, as well as leaders of shared services, such as strategy, innovation, creative and operational leadership, will report to Hutnik.

“What this team has built is a testament to having a finger on the pulse of the market and being committed to evolution and simultaneously being true to our foundational commitment to science and strategy to differentiate our growing portfolio of services,” Hutnik said via email. “As we add more breadth and depth to our offering, that balance is critical to our teams and clients. I am beyond energized to take the reins at this moment and for the exciting chapter ahead.”

Hutnik has worked at the firm since August 2023. She will continue to serve as its chief commercial officer during the transition. As Hutnik assumes greater day-to-day operational responsibilities, Tim Goddard will take on the role of chief growth officer, collaborating with Hutnik and enterprise-wide business development and marketing teams on commercial priorities. Goddard will also focus on growth globally and through mergers and acquisitions, according to a Spectrum spokesperson.

Goddard will report to Hutnik.
