Syneos Health has brought on Hillary Bochniak as chief human resources officer, the company announced Monday.

Before joining Syneos, Bochniak spent nearly 30 years at Accenture in human resources roles, including her most recent post as managing director and global HR lead for strategic accounts and sales.

While at Accenture, Bochniak’s roles spanned strategic talent planning and management, as well as resource planning, HR operations and change management. She also played a role in Accenture’s sales transformation in her most recent position.

“I was immediately drawn to Syneos Health’s lab to life vision and was impressed by Michelle [Keefe’s] ambition and authenticity in the way she puts talent on par with other strategic initiatives,” Bochniak said in a statement. “I am thrilled to join the company during this exciting time in its growth story and look forward to collaboration alongside each and every employee – with purpose.”

Bochniak’s appointment is the latest in a string of hires for Syneos, following its acquisition by a consortium of private equity firms for $7.1 billion in May. That acquisition came in tandem with Syneos Health’s release of its first quarter 2023 results, with revenues reaching $1.3 billion, an increase of 1.5%.

In late spring, Syneos also made several new executive hires and promotions. Syneos Health Communications elevated Jeanine O’Kane, previous managing director at Biosector 2, to president. The company then promoted Shauna Keough to president of U.S. public relations to succeed O’Kane.

Later in May, Batisha Anson took on the new role of global head, patient diversity and health equity. Anson came over from Synoes Health’s Biosector 2, where she focused on DE&I initiatives and employee engagement plans.

Syneos Health also tapped Michael Bonello as chief financial officer in May. Bonello joined from PRA Health Sciences, where he served in various executive positions.

“Our people are the foundation to being the solutions partner of choice to the biopharmaceutical industry,” Syneos Health CEO Michelle Keefe said in a statement. “Hillary is a proven leader who brings a forward-thinking approach to talent development. She’ll play an instrumental role in transformation, executing our people strategy and building an inclusive culture.”

The slew of hires this year comes after the company saw revenue drop slightly in 2022, according to the 2023 MM+M Agency 100 revenue chart, from an estimated $266 million to $260 million. Staff size also decreased during 2022, from 996 at the end of 2021 to 801 by the end of 2022.
