Aspira Women’s Health expands leadership team

Aspira Women’s Health has expanded its senior leadership team with a quintet of new appointments. Dr. Elena Ratner, co-founder and director of the Yale Medicine Sexual, Intimacy and Menopause Program, will serve as global chief medical advisor, clinical and translational medicine. Kaile Zagger, formerly of St. Jude Medical, Intuitive Surgical and General Electric Healthcare, will serve as chief operating officer. Dr. Lesley Northrop, formerly Aspira’s global head of innovation and clinical development, will serve as chief science officer. Dr. Gary Altwerger, a specialist in gynecologic oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, will serve as global deputy chief medical advisor, clinical and translational medicine. Dr. Diane Powis, a cancer survivor and psychologist/clinical specialist affiliated with Greenwich Hospital Association, Yale New Haven, will serve as chief spokeswoman.

National Pharmaceutical Council’s Board of Directors elects chair

Michael Ryan, currently SVP, worldwide value, access, pricing and health economics and outcomes research at Bristol-Myers Squibb, has been elected chair of the National Pharmaceutical Council’s Board of Directors for 2020-2021. Dr. Ryan has previously served in several NPC leadership roles, including vice chair and treasurer.

Ironwood Pharmaceuticals appoints new member to board of directors

Ironwood Pharmaceuticals has appointed activist investor Alex Denner to its board of directors. Denner is a founding partner of Sarissa Capital Management.

OptimizeRx selects SVP and principal of agency channels

OptimizeRx has tapped Angelo Campano as its SVP and principal of agency channels. He joins the company from Ogilvy Health, where he served as SVP for point of care marketing. In his new role, Campano has been charged with driving the growth and expansion of OptimizeRx’s partnerships with healthcare marketing agencies.
