Novartis names Bulto head of U.S. pharma 

Novartis has appointed Victor Bulto as head of its U.S. pharmaceuticals business, effective September 1. He is set to replace Fabrice Chouraqui, who is planning to step down at the end of this month, according to Reuters

GSK changes US leadership 

GlaxoSmithKline has named Maya Martinez-Davis, regional president for Latin America at EMD Serono, Merck KGaA’s biopharmaceutical business, as president of U.S. pharmaceuticals. She will replace Jack Bailey, who will step down at the end of this year.  

Ogilvy Health ups seven 

Ogilvy Health has promoted seven in its New York and New Jersey offices. The firm has named Mike Brune and Deborah Ciauro as executive creative director; Larry Hannon as SVP and creative director; Beth Elkis and George Giunta as group creative directors; Anita Carusa as VP and associate creative director; and Agnes Topor as associate creative director. 

Molinaro joins FCB Health Network

FCB Health Network has hired Suzanne Molinaro as director of production, a newly created role overseeing broadcast production and services across the network. She will also manage integrated production and regulatory operations for FCB Health New York, Mosaic Group, ProHealth and FCBVIO. 

Hill joins Alzheimer’s Association 

The Alzheimer’s Association has hired Dr. Carl Hill as VP of scientific engagement, responsible for promoting its international research program and launching initiatives for public health and engaging physicians. He was previously director of the office of special populations in the National Institutes of Aging at the National Institutes of Health. 

Smith joins Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock

Healthcare comms consultancy Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock has hired Reed Smith to grow the firm’s capabilities in digital. Smith previously oversaw product development for the Texas Hospital Association among other roles.

Prime Therapeutics hires McGrail-Pokuta

Prime Therapeutics has hired Kelly McGrail-Pokuta as VP of pharmacy trade relations, overseeing strategic direction and management of all pharmaceutical manufacturer relationships in support of its total drug management business model. She has worked at OptumRx, Diplomat Pharmacy and CVS Caremark.

LaVoieHealthScience has promoted Sharon Correia to EVP of integrated communications and chief strategy officer and Ella Deych as VP of finance and COO, the agency’s first executive overseeing two two areas.
