Verily has promoted Alix Hart into the role of chief marketing officer. In her new role, Hart will oversee the organization’s brand, digital and product marketing.

Hart initially joined Verily in 2021 as head of content and digital strategy. Shortly thereafter, she added CMO responsibilities for the company’s Clinical Studies Platforms and Verily Health Platforms businesses.

“Alix has brought a data-driven, strategic approach to marketing for our core businesses, including the digital marketing scaleup that powers our recruitment and enrollment services for clinical studies and Onduo by Verily membership,” said Verily president and COO Stephen Gillett in a statement. “Expanding her role to CMO will benefit our portfolio as we grow recognition of Verily as a precision health company.”

Prior to her arrival at Verily, Hart was global head of digital marketing at Nvidia. Before that, she held marketing leadership positions at Best Buy, Time Inc. and Symantec.

Hart succeeds Andreas “Drew” Panayiotou, set to join Pfizer as biopharma global chief marketing officer in September, as CMO.
