What internal program offered by your company has had the most significant impact, and what were the results?
In 2017, a huge focus was put on culture. Our new Havas Health & You Sabbatical Program offers additional paid weeks of vacation every year.
Our drawing and writing clubs give us a mental break during the day. Building a custom bar inside our office led to 4 p.m. happy hours on Fridays.
But in the end, programs don’t create culture, people do.

At H4B Catapult, we inspire courage. And defying typical agency life takes courage. Growth and leadership opportunities are everywhere, such as our Developing Leaders Program for senior talent, Catapult College for junior talent, Leadership Book Club, and Love What You Do, an initiative that brings inspiration and innovation to everyone. And because learning should never stop, our Tuition Reimbursement program offers up to $3,000 per employee per year to attend workshops, take classes, and attend conferences.
The air is different here
However, you can’t always put culture on the calendar. Sometimes, it’s just felt. And a key part of feeling good about your culture is trust. That’s why leadership gathers our entire agency for weekly Cawffee Tawks and provides business updates, shares upcoming events, and celebrates work and personal achievements.
Our employees know what we know. Our 2017 Culture Scan revealed 93% said they trust senior leadership. You don’t find that often. And we were named one of the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey for 2018 by NJBIZ, a program that identifies, recognizes, and honors the top places of employment in New Jersey.
Employee recognition is another big one. Teams get to present their work to the agency on a regular basis. Our Thank You Feed lets people blast their appreciation for each other on the TV in our kitchen. Our On The Spot program gives spontaneous gift cards to those who go above and beyond.
Our quarterly Most Courageous Catapulter Award recognizes those who display daily acts of courage and comes with a custom courage skateboard deck designed by one of our art directors. We have a whole series hanging on our wall, an idea born from that same art director. In fact, some of our best initiatives, such as GraFight Club and Fika coffee hour, were started by employees.
We do advertising differently
H4B Catapult is a courageous agency that solves problems through a bold and unique approach to servicing clients. As part of the much larger Havas network recently acquired by Vivendi, which includes Universal Music Group, Gameloft, and Canal+, we offer our clients a truly unified and specialized approach to building and growing brands.
The result: Better thinking, more courageous solutions, and exclusive access to some of the world’s greatest media and entertainment companies for a totally new spin on solving healthcare problems.
