The British Medical Journal poached Nature Publishing Group’s Peter Ashman to serve as its publishing director. Ashman, who launched the Nature titles as publisher, replaces Alex Williamson, who is retiring after 16 years with the BMJ Group. BMJ titles include Gut, Heart, Archives of Disease in Childhood, Emergency Medicine Journal and Thorax, as well as the eponymous flagship title.
