BCW Group has merged Goodfuse into the GCI family of specialty agencies, which also includes GCI Health, Curation and Uncapped.

“Our clients increasingly tell us that they want specialized teams that are designed for their unique needs and that deeply understand their business,” said GCI global CEO Kristin Cahill in a statement. “Bringing Goodfuse into the GCI family makes perfect sense given its heritage in high science and its people-forward approach.”

The move comes on the heels of the departures of Goodfuse CEO Olga Fleming and EVP, managing director Courtney Walker. Both have joined Marina Maher Communications, Fleming as president of its healthcare and corporate businesses and Walker as managing director, a role in which she’ll lead its RXMosaic agency.

Formerly known as Y&R PR, Goodfuse debuted its new name and brand last October. It recently expanded its management team to include SVP Ellene Hu, VP Abigail Obre and VP, creative director Joe Jordan.

According to MM+M estimates, GCI Health grew revenue to $98.5 million in 2020, up from an estimated $77.5 million in 2019. Head count increased from 205 at the start of 2020 to 294 at the end of it.
