Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has named leaders from FleishmanHillard and Havas Lynx as the 2020 Pharma Lions and Health & Wellness Lions jury presidents.

Fleishman’s Anne de Schweinitz was named the Pharma Lions jury president, while Havas Lynx’s Tom Richards will lead the Health & Wellness Lions jury.

De Schweinitz acts as global managing director for healthcare for Fleishman’s health practice. She has been with the agency since 2011. She served on the Pharma Lions jury in 2016.

“It’s an opportunity to see the best of the work that’s out there,” de Schweinitz said. “The lens for me is really about how communications is adapting and forming in the world we’re living in. As someone from the discipline of PR and integrated communications, versus advertising, my perspective is how did the work drive reputation, along with the brand, and communications that have business impact.”

De Schweinitz was named to MM&M and PRWeek’s Health Influencer 50 list for the past four years, an accomplishment Cannes recognized in its announcement on Thursday.

Richards has been chief creative officer at Havas Lynx since 2015. Last year, he served on the Health & Wellness Lions jury. Havas Lynx was named Healthcare Agency of the Year at Cannes in 2018.

In the 2019 festival, Ikea Israel and McCann Tel Aviv took home the Health & Wellness Lions Grand Prix. GlaxoSmithKline and McCann Health in Shanghai won the Pharma Grand Prix for its Breath of Life disease awareness initiative, breaking a three-year streak without a Pharma Grand Prix.

The 2020 festival will take place June 22 through June 26.
