Last year’s winner has done it again. Elevate’s growth, differentiation and commitment to excellence continue to wow our judges. With its focused position on helping healthcare challenger brands overcome obstacles to reach their full potential, it’s helping many in the industry realize that challenger brands are everywhere.

Elevate’s agency model focuses on a core of experienced, senior-level experts helping clients build brands that drive intended behavioral change. And it continues to attract clients that appreciate a deeper level of interaction and a higher degree of agility.

The firm is maintaining its four-year run of double-digit growth, with 2020’s gain pushing it to $7.7 million in revenue. Impressively, this increase reflects a nearly even split between organic growth with key clients and $2 million in significant new business wins. For example, its work with DePuy Synthes, the orthopedic company of Johnson & Johnson, started in 2016 with one product. It now works with it in multiple business units and on more than 30 different technologies.

Elevate’s structure remains flexible to accommodate any client relationship and offers AOR, project, or a hybrid model, depending on need and situation. That flexibility paid off particularly well throughout the pandemic, with growth increasing employees to 43. (Flexibility is a literal term: It offers weekly virtual stretching and yoga classes.)

The agency continues its charitable commitment to patients. But it also stepped up support for protecting the animals that appear in many of the ads it creates, including the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an elephant rescue and rehabilitation program, and the Wolf Sanctuary of PA. It also adopted Challenger, an eagle, through the American Eagle Foundation.
