Digital detailer Physicians Interactive has acquired Skyscape, a mobile health information provider. Skyscape’s user base exceeds one million medical practitioners, according to a release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Thomson Reuters added Elsevier’s Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery (JFAS) into its abstracting and indexing services. JFAS is the official journal of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a society of over 6,000 surgeons. Thomson Reuters uses Impact Factor to measure a journal’s significance within its field, and will rate JFAS’s performance in 2010.
Linda Laskowski-Jones was named editor in chief of Nursing2009, a peer-reviewed nursing journal published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. Nursing2009 holds a circulation of over 300,000. LWW is a division of Wolters Kluwer Health.
Sage announced that it will commence publishing Veterinary Pathology, an international journal of natural and experimental disease, in 2010. Veterinary Pathology is the official journal of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, the European College of Veterinary Pathologists and the Japanese College of Veterinary Pathologists.
