Acusphere a pharmaceutical firm developing porous micro-particle delivery systemsannounced the appointment of Patrick Gallagher as SVP, business development. Gallagher joins Acusphere with more than 25 years of pharmaceutical and healthcare business development, marketing and sales experience with Mylan Laboratories, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson. During this time, Gallagher has completed transactions totaling approximately $800 million representing a wide variety of structures including in-licensing and out-licensing of product rights, co-promotion agreements, in-licensing of drug delivery technology, manufacturing supply agreements, joint ventures, divestitures and mergers and acquisitions.

Pacific Communications has appointed Jennifer Louie to the position of account group supervisor for the agency’s Botox therapeutic account. In her new role, Louie will be responsible for leading professional promotions for US marketing and projects for the global marketing, clinical development, new technologies, and reimbursement groups. Before joining Pacific Communications, Louie was an account director for GSW Worldwide, where she led her agency team and direct reports in all aspects of strategic vision development and implementation.

Cadient Group has appointed Pete Dannenfelser as VP, strategic innovation. In this role, Dannenfelser will be responsible for consulting to Cadient’s client base on strategic best practices and contributing to Cadient senior management, operations and business development activities. Formerly the director of new channel development at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Dannenfelser provided brand teams with a platform to discover, pilot and implement the latest promotional innovations. He led cross-functional teams to analyze, execute and shepherd innovative programs across Novartis’ marketing organization — including projects in physician relationship management, multi-channel digital video and healthcare information technology. Dannenfelser will be based at Cadient Group headquarters in West Conshohocken, PA and reports directly to recently appointed Chief Innovation Officer, William Reese.
