Her 17-year career began in human resources shortly after graduating from Florida International University (FIU). The Philadelphia office of Avenue A | Razorfish, has named Maia Dunkel as a senior account director and Richard Eden as an account director of client engagements in Philadelphia. Their local clients include Philly.com, AstraZeneca and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. As a senior account director, Dunkel is responsible for planning and implementing integrated marketing communication strategies for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Dunkel has more than eight years of traditional advertising and marketing experience. Prior to joining Avenue A | Razorfish, she was an account director at Saatchi & Saatchi. As an account director of client engagements, Eden is responsible for the management of client accounts and project operations. Eden has more than 10 years experience in web and application development, and more than seven years consulting in the healthcare industry. He has extensive experience working with marketing groups and brand owners to develop and refine online tactics targeting both consumer and healthcare professionals. Prior to joining Avenue A | Razorfish, Eden was a program manager at Refinery (now a part of G2Interactive), where he worked on the launch of new vaccine brands and managed agency teams to create websites, develop online advertising and optimize web sites.
Public relations agency Cohn & Wolfe, announced that it has hired Hayley Soffer as EVP and managing director of its New York healthcare practice. Soffer will have responsibility for managing all aspects of the growing healthcare practice including client service, operations, talent development and new business. Soffer has 14 years experience in healthcare public relations. She joins Cohn & Wolfe from Publicis Consultants | PR where she served most recently as managing director of its New York office and as healthcare practice director. During her tenure, Soffer launched and supported a broad portfolio of brands in pharmaceutical categories including oncology, vaccines, infectious diseases and dermatology, among others. Previously, Soffer spent seven years with Manning Selvage & Lee as SVP where she was responsible for strategic planning and implementation for a variety of healthcare clients and worked on a variety of crisis and FDA issues. She has also worked at Porter Novelli and Makovsky & Company.
