The director general of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, Richard Bergstrom, told Fox News that other drugmakers will likely follow AstraZeneca’s April move to scrap payments for doctors to attend international medical congresses. GlaxoSmithKline said it will continue funding such trips.
