Havas Health & You has named Megan Rokosh as its first global chief marketing officer.

Rokosh will lead marketing for all Havas Health & You brands and their locations around the world. She started in the new role on May 1, reporting to Havas Health & You CEO Donna Murphy.

The goal of the newly created position is to unify the network’s marketing after it has added services like technology and data. Havas Health & You is active in more than 70 countries and has more than 4,000 staff globally. The network includes Havas Life, Health4Brands (H4B), Lynx, Havas Life PR and Havas Health Plus.

“When you look at growth like that, you start to think about how and where you’re commercializing and about how the brand is being portrayed around the world,” Rokosh said. “The need to have someone who understands how to commercialize these opportunities and coordinate the brand around the world becomes pretty apparent.”

Rokosh is building Havas Health & You’s global marketing team. She said she plans to have as many as five staffers focused on marketing efforts like partnerships, award submissions and sponsorships. Rokosh wants Havas Health & You to have a strong presence at landmark industry events and plans to focus on the network’s owned media channels.

Rokosh is also planning to explore how Havas Health & You can work with Vivendi, Havas’ parent company, a content, media and communications group.

“It’s about taking inventory of all the opportune projects in the network and coordinating those in the best possible way for clients and staff,” she said. “I’m coming from this consumer perspective on how we’re operating; I love the idea of us converging various perspectives across the organization and all of our areas of expertise from artificial intelligence to consumer to DTC to wellness to pharma.”

Rokosh was previously North America communications director at Havas after joining the holding company in August 2017. She also spent nine years at multimedia and telecommunications company Rogers Communications as strategist and head of creative services.
