Biotech company Deep Genomics has brought on B2B comms agency Fight or Flight to help build its communications function.

The platform supports geneticists, molecular biologists, chemists, toxicologists and drug developers in the identification and development of genetic medicines. It has enlisted Fight or Flight for global messaging development, building the comms function and work on creative campaigns, the agency said in a statement.

Deep Genomics began work with Fight or Flight in March. Also in Q1, the agency won North America client work from companies including software company Arkestro in March, point-of-sale and ecommerce-software provider Lightspeed Commerce in February and IT management platform Atera in January.

Fight or Flight is supporting Arkestro with integrated comms in the North American market, including creative campaigns, executive profiling, social media and proactive press office; Atera on North American creative campaigns; and Lightspeed as the lead agency for integrated comms, including creative campaign development and execution in the U.S.

“Clients enlist our storytelling help when their business is complex and nuanced. Creating a compelling narrative for how Deep Genomics is cracking the code of AI and genomic biology is about as complex as it gets,” Fight or Flight North America chair Tim Fry said via email. “I can’t wait to apply Fight or Flight’s brand of creativity to this communications challenge.”

Fight or Flight was founded in 2020 by ex-Weber Shandwick directors Charlie Meredith-Hardy, Joe Walton and David Woodward. Headquartered in London, the agency also has an office presence in New York. Current clients include GitHub, Salesforce, LinkedIn and Siemens, according to the firm’s website.
