Biotechnology company Phlo has hired Dan Reynolds as director of marketing.
Reynolds will support the branding, marketing, and communications functions of the company, headed by Rudy Prajza, chief marketing officer. Reynolds has worked with marketing communications companies including Saatchi & Saatchi, DMB&B, Foote, Cone & Belding and MacLaren-McCann Advertising.

AGENCIES
Pacific Communications announced the return of José Santiago to the agency’s creative department. As art supervisor, Santiago will apply his talents to the agency’s launch of Prometheus Labs and NeurogesX, two new business wins, while also supervising others on established accounts, including Advanced Sterilization Products and Medtronic. Santiago left Pacific Communications for Miami, FL, seven years ago, where he worked at agencies in that area for several years before returning to Southern California as creative director for DevicePharm.

, an operating segment of inVentiv Health, announced a realignment of its business into two divisions — inVentiv Strategy & Analytics and inVentiv Selling Solutions. In conjunction with this reorganization, inVentiv has promoted Jeffrey Thomas to president of inVentiv Strategy & Analytics and Paul Mignon to president of inVentiv Selling Solutions. As president of inVentiv Strategy & Analytics, Thomas will lead a group of inVentiv business units that provide clients with strategic planning, market analytics, research, market segmentation and managed markets strategy. Thomas joined inVentiv in 2005 and formerly served as VP and managing director of Ventiv Access Group, which he launched and managed. Prior to joining inVentiv, Thomas was president of Ranbaxy Laboratories and held several senior management roles with Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Since 2002, Mignon has overseen the inVentiv sales teams’ business As president of inVentiv Selling Solutions, Mignon’s span of responsibility will extend to business units that support the launch and operation of the sales teams as well as the business development group. Prior to joining inVentiv in 2002, Mignon spent more than 14 years with Johnson & Johnson in progressive sales and marketing roles, most recently as a national sales director.
