AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine has generated an immune response, according to new data. The vaccine, which is being developed with Oxford University, was tested in a study of about 1,000 patients. (STAT)

The Food and Drug Administration is calling for removal of fruity vapes. The FDA sent nine warning letters to e-cigarette makers, telling them to remove fruity flavors like mango, pink lemonade and strawberry from the market. (Associated Press)

Two other potential vaccine studies reported data this week. An experimental vaccine from CanSinoBiologics proved to be safe and induced an immune response in most of the participants. A small study of BioNTech and Pfizer’s vaccine found that it generated antibodies in patients. (Reuters)
