FROST Clinical Study

Sanarus Technologies is pioneering cryoablation treatment for breast disease. Its Visica 2 Treatment System uses liquid nitrogen to destroy cancerous breast tumors without removing any tissue. The procedure is fast and less expensive than surgery.

The goal of this program was to drive awareness of the treatment option and participation in the FROST (Freezing Instead of Resection of Small Breast Tumors) Clinical Study. The challenge was to stand out among 1,750 other breast cancer trials. The team’s answer was to develop a turnkey marketing toolkit that empowered cancer centers and advocacy groups to drive local market awareness. On a budget of less than $30,000, the toolkit delivered significant enrollment increases. Between April 2017 and April 2018, there was an 875% jump in patients treated, a 133% increase in center enrollment, and an 800% increase in centers interested in enrolling.

“I appreciated the comprehensive approach to developing the toolkit and the scrappiness of the company to develop this breadth of resources on a shoestring budget,” one judge said.

The toolkit included a highly informative and engaging video, social media posts, PSAs, press releases, ads, peer-to-peer presentations, and more. Judges were especially impressed by the fantastic use of animation in the product video to bring the science and benefits to life.
