Euro RSCG Life promoted Doug Burcin and Donna Murphy to worldwide managing partners. They report to David Jones, Euro RSCG Worldwide. The network also promoted three to partner: David Paragamian, president of LM&P New York and Chicago; Michele Raspone, Euro RSCG Life Southern Europe, who takes on additional responsibilities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Charles Houdoux of the agency’s Paris office, who will continue to serve as global brand director for Sanofi-Aventis and will take on international business, APAC and all global brand assignments.
Centron announced the following promotions and additions to its staff. Lisa Reswick has joined as VP, group creative supervisor. Previously, Reswick was a senior copywriter at Draftfcb Healthcare. Bhavani Bee has been hired as an account supervisor. Prior to joining Centron, Bee was a business development manager at EuroRSCG Worldwide. Lisa Cole comes to Centron as a client service coordinator from Endo Pharmaceuticals, where she was a sales representative. Yira Schoenemann was hired as a studio artist. Previously, she was a studio artist at mPress. Dominic Viola has been promoted from VP, account group supervisor to SVP, account group supervisor. Tricia Lagan received a promotion from account supervisor to account group supervisor.

Wolters Kluwer Health appointed industry veteran David Martin as VP, sales and marketing, for the Pharma Solutions business unit. Martin brings more than 25 years of marketing and sales leadership honed while working with organizations including Johnson & Johnson and Pharmacia. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer Health, Martin was president of Johnson & Johnson health care systems. There he led J&J’s enterprise-wide customer engagement efforts. Previously, Martin was VP of US managed markets with Pharmacia and, prior to that, served as president of Pharmacia & Upjohn’s Canadian subsidiary.
Continuing medical education provider Pri-Med has organized a new advisory committee and announced the appointment of Martin Samuels, MD, as chief medical officer of specialty science. Samuels is currently neurologist-in-chief and chairman of the department of neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School. In addition to leading the advisory committee, Samuels will continue to chair all Pri-Med education for neurologists. Four course chairs will join Dr. Samuels on the committee. Eugene Braunwald, MD, and Peter Libby, MD, will oversee the cardiology education curriculum, and Paul Summergrad, MD, and Carl Salzman, MD, will direct the psychiatry curriculum.
MedPoint Communications has named Max Winkler, Jr., as director of business development for its speaker program services division. Winkler will be responsible for developing high-volume, educational speaker program strategies and related services for the company’s pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients.
