Anne McCaughan’s journey at Novo Nordisk has been a testament to her strategic acumen and purpose-driven leadership. Her tenure has not only contributed to brand and company success, but has also served as an inspiration to direct reports, colleagues and other professionals within the industry. Among her recent achievements, McCaughan pulled off Novo Nordisk’s launch for Wegovy — its fastest ever. With a sales force trained and out selling within 72 hours of receiving FDA approval, Wegovy achieved blockbuster status quicker than any product in Novo Nordisk history. 

Throughout the timeframes where supply was limited, McCaughan was quick to collaborate with her agency team and leadership to develop strategic recommendations that emphasize transparency and proactive expectation management.

In 2021, in recognition of her outstanding contributions, McCaughan was awarded Marketer of the Year and promoted to senior brand director, overseeing the HCP strategy and execution for the obesity portfolio, a testament to her strategic vision and strong leadership.
