Marcus Sigurdsson

Based in China since 1999, Sigurdsson joined McCann Health in 2011 as lead digital catalyst for the region. In 2014, he added leadership of the company’s strategic innovation group to his charge. In his current role, Sigurdsson is largely thought of as the agency’s digital guru. He’s regarded in a similar manner by people outside McCann Health’s walls.

A regular at conferences like the Mobile World Congress, Sigurdsson is one of the most enthusiastic boosters of health tech hackathons. “Through his expertise and extensive network, Marcus has added a unique value to the way we look at the role of emerging technologies for marketing in APAC,” says Bogdan Nita, Pfizer’s Asia Pacific business technology regional lead.

Sigurdsson developed McCann Health’s Data Solutions in 2014, which led to the creation of 4sight, a predictive analytics add-on for e-detailing. Prior to his McCann Health tenure, Sigurdsson worked for McCann Erickson, FCB, and Ogilvy, and on the client side for Ericsson China and Gartner.
