Calcium+Company announced earlier this week that it launched Calcium+Company LATAM, a creative and strategic hub based in Mexico City.

The company, which launched off of 2023 MM+M Agency 100 honoree Calcium, said the office is related to the purchase of CSG Health Group, a scientific communications agency focusing on educational content and strategies for healthcare professionals, which was announced in June.

Calcium+Company LATAM will combine the efforts of the U.S. creative team with regional communications experts and content designers in Mexico, all while being led by managing partner Luigi Cardone. The regional hub will also contribute support for existing global and U.S. clients on an as-needed basis, according to a company press release.

“Bolstering our creative engagement offering is a natural agency expansion, as our work has rapidly  grown in this area during the past several years,” Greg Lewis, group president of Calcium+Company, said in a statement. “Calcium+Company LATAM provides access to a wider pool of talent to support  client needs, keeping us at the forefront of what our clients’ businesses require. We’re confident this  expansion will allow us to continue elevating the creativity and innovation we provide.”

Calcium+Company CEO Judy Capano added that the agency is eager to unlock the potential of talent available in the LATAM and expand its presence in the region.

This news is yet another indication that the trend of medical marketing agencies expanding beyond the U.S. is continuing at a healthy clip.

The Calcium+Company news was announced the same day Klick Health, another 2023 MM+M Agency 100 honoree, bolstered its presence across the pond with a suite of leadership hires at its Europe, Middle East and Africa hub in London.

This has also been a particularly active year for the Calcium family of companies, marked by expansion, acquisitions and retirements.

At the start of the year, Calcium+Company debuted PRotein, a full-service health and wellness PR division, as well as Amino, an oncology marketing division.

Additionally, founder Steven Michaelson, who retired in March after a lengthy career in the medical marketing space.
